With the project Accessible houses to Young Families apartments are becoming more accessible

Recently the government of RA approved the suggestion of making changes in the «About the approval of changes in «Accessible houses for Young families» state targeted project» on January 29, 2010.

In the new version of the project the percentage of mortgage loan will decrease (7.5% instead of 9.5%). It is also planned to change the advance payment approaches, raise the value of the apartment, prolong loan terms up to 30 years, as well as improve the requirements for eligibility for the young families participating in the project by changing the limitation of 35 years on each of the spouses and leave only the requirement of 70 years altogether.

The adviser of RA Prime-Minister Mesrop Araqelyan stated that within the same project the government is working on new changes with the Central Bank. According to that, with every new child born or adapted in the family the percentage will decrease by 0.5%. «For instance, in case of having 3 children in the provinces the percentage of mortgage loan might be only 4%» – Mesrop Araqelyan mentioned in his Facebook page.
