About 40% of purchase and sale transactions of Armenia were made in Yerevan

According to the data of the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of Armenia, 4484 purchase and sale transactions of real estate were processed in Armenia in October 2018.

Only 36.5% of total transactions was registered in Yerevan. Kotayk region is in the second place with the largest number of transactions (13.8%), and Ararat region is 3rd place (10.5% of transactions).

The lowest number of real estate transactions, as it was supposed to be, was made in Vayots Dzor, which is the smallest region of Armenia. This number is quite small compared with other regions and Yerevan (only 1.0% of total transactions). Besides Vayots Dzor, less activity was observed in Tavush (2.9%) and Gegharkunik (3.3%) regions.

As the activity of real estate market is an important indicator of the economy, this statistic once again comes to prove the asymmetric development of the economy of Armenia.
