Tendency of increasing transactions in rural areas

The number of registered transactions of the 3rd trimester of 2019 has grown about 18% compared to the same period of 2018. In analyzing last year’s and this year’s transactions, however, the most interesting fact is that there is a greater increase in transactions in rural areas as compared to the transactions registered in the capital and in the regional towns.

Thus, according to the Cadastre data, if the growth in Yerevan is about 11.5% and in the urban areas of the regions 17%, than in the rural areas the growth is more than 25.2 %. The same growth rate has been registered in the second trimester of the current year – 17%. There was a growth even in the first trimester – in a period that is considered not very active in the field of real estate (5.5%).
This statistic proves that there is a certain increase in demand for real estate in rural areas of Armenia, and, therefore, there is market activity.
