Decentralization is taking place in the real-estate market
In recent years, the activity of the Armenian real-estate market has shifted to the suburbs of the city and regions as well. This can be seen both in the official numbers of the Cadastre and in the information coming out of the real-estate agencies. The trend fluctuates with the number of deals. Let us mention only one fact ․ If in June the first place in the combined number of deals was in Yerevan Kentron district, then in Arabkir district in July the strong growth trend is observed in recent years. It is clear that construction plays a big role here. As the land resources in Kentron district and soon in Arabkir district are gradually depleted, the construction of new buildings and the establishment of districts is transferred to Davitashen, Ajapnyak, Avan, Nor Nork and other districts. Eduard Apriyan, a well-known real-estate expert and director of business development at RED Invest Group, said in a recent interview that construction would soon intensify not only in the suburbs but also in the regions. He first mentioned the regions of Kotayk, Aragatsotn, Armavir, as well as separate tourist cities: Tsakhkadzor, Dilijan, Ashtarak, etc.
