Real estate property certificates will become digital and not only just them.

The Government of the Republic of Armenia has recently approved a package of legislative amendments, by which the launch of “paperless” or digital Cadastre starts. The digitization project of Cadastre is envisaged by the Government’s 2018-2022 program.

The need for a quick implementation of the package is justified by the officials of the field by the demand of working “united, online, paperless and without a seal”.

The changes start with these three key steps:

  1. Elimination of seal requirements in cadastral documents,
  2. New ownership certificates, which will also be available online,
  3. Renaming the Real Estate Cadastre Committee, by simply Cadastre.

 S. Petrosyan, the head of the committee, is convinced, that the amendments, in particular the elimination of the seal requirement, will significantly change the quality of life of the citizens dealing with Cadastre.

The package of proposals will be sent to the approval of the National Assembly. The package includes draft amendments and additions to laws of the Republic of Armenia “On State Registration of Property Rights” and “On Public Administration System Authorities”.
